The senate voted 61-37 in favor of the $838 billion pork stuffed stimulus package. Erstwhile republicans Arlen Specter, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins joined democrats in supporting the bill. Judd Gregg abstained. God Save us from bipartisanship!
The House of Representatives passed the auto industry bailout bill 237-170 last night. The Senate will be taking up the bill in the next couple of days. Call your Senator @ 202-224-3121 and urge him to vote no. Ask your friends and family to do the same.
It’s over. Alaska Senator Ted Steven has lost his re-election bid… Steven’s was defeated by Democrat Mark Begich after being convicted on corruption charges in October. Hey Ted, thanks for the memories Now just go… and good riddance.
