Various news outlets are reporting that South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley will appoint Rep. Tim Scott to fill the Senate seat vacated by Jim DeMint, who is resigning to become president of the Heritage Foundation.<\/p>\n

Gov. Haley is expected to announce the appointment at noon Monday.<\/p>\n
