{"id":3614,"date":"2010-10-20T10:16:30","date_gmt":"2010-10-20T14:16:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jasetaro.com\/blog\/?p=3614"},"modified":"2010-10-20T10:16:30","modified_gmt":"2010-10-20T14:16:30","slug":"in-search-of-their-creator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jasetaro.com\/blog\/2010\/10\/20\/in-search-of-their-creator\/","title":{"rendered":"In Search Of&#8230; Their Creator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CNSNews is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnsnews.com\/news\/article\/obama-again-omits-endowed-their-creator\" target=\"_blank\">reporting<\/a> this morning that &#8220;For the second time in little over a month, President Barack Obama  stripped the word &#8220;Creator&#8221; from the Declaration of Independence when  giving a speech.&#8221; There&#8217;s just one minor problem here, this isn&#8217;t second time the President omitted the word &#8220;Creator&#8221; from the Declaration of Independence while  giving a speech&#8230; As Meredith\u00a0Jessup notes at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theblaze.com\/stories\/obama-continues-to-omit-creator-from-declaration-of-independence\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Blaze<\/a> it&#8217;s the third:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>During a <a title=\"Opens in a new window\" href=\"http:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/the-press-office\/2010\/10\/19\/remarks-president-a-dscc-dinner-rockville-maryland\" target=\"_blank\">speech<\/a> Monday, President Barack Obama once again omitted the Declaration of  Independence\u2018s mention of man\u2019s \u201cCreator\u201d as the source of his  \u201cunalienable rights.\u201d  While delivering remarks at a dinner fundraiser  for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) in Rockville,  Md., President Obama spoke about what he called the \u201cessence\u201d of the  upcoming midterm election:<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">As wonderful as the land is here in the United States, as  much as we have been blessed by the bounty of this magnificent  continent that stretches from the Atlantic to the Pacific, what makes  this place special is not something physical.  It has to do with this  idea that was started by 13 colonies that decided to throw off the yoke  of an empire, and said, \u201cWe hold these truths to be self-evident, that  all men are created equal, that each of us are endowed with certain  inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit  of happiness.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>The sole mention of man\u2018s Creator in Obama\u2019s remarks came at the end when he thanked the audience and said, \u201cGod bless you.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The President first omitted the words &#8220;Their Creator&#8221;\u00a0 from the Declaration of  Independence during a speech before the Congressional Hispanic Caucus  Institute\u2019s Annual Awards Gala on Spetember 15th and the second came a  week later during  a fundraiser in New York City.<\/p>\n<p>Monday&#8217;s speech marks the third time President Obama has made the exact same mistake&#8230; In politics once is a slip of the tongue, twice is a coincidence and three times is intentional. So question that has to be asked\u00a0 is why would the President intentionally omit the words &#8220;Their Creator&#8221; for the Declaration of  Independence?<\/p>\n<p>Well, I have theory, some of you may think I&#8217;m skirting dangerously close to tin foil hat territory here, but to find the answer we need to look at two paragraphs from the Declaration of  Independence. The First is the paragraph the President was quoting:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>We<\/strong> hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all   Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with   certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the   pursuit of Happiness.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Second is the paragraph immediately after that:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>That<\/strong> to secure these rights, Governments are  instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the  Governed.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Our Founding Fathers were firm believers in natural law, they believed and our founding documents reflect this, that governments were created by people and that they governed by the consent of the people. One of principle responsibilities of this government by, of and for the people is to ensure that our natural &#8212; our God given rights are not infringed upon&#8230; Hence the limited powers granted the government in our Constitution.<\/p>\n<p>Ideological liberals\u00a0 like President Obama have an opposite view, for them politics is their religion.
