{"id":3554,"date":"2010-09-20T16:49:01","date_gmt":"2010-09-20T20:49:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jasetaro.com\/blog\/?p=3554"},"modified":"2010-09-30T17:16:43","modified_gmt":"2010-09-30T21:16:43","slug":"whoa-obama-underwater-in-delaware","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jasetaro.com\/blog\/2010\/09\/20\/whoa-obama-underwater-in-delaware\/","title":{"rendered":"Whoa: Obama Underwater in Delaware"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hmm&#8230; I just saw <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/nb324.html\" target=\"_blank\">this<\/a> over at Ace&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/minx.cc\/?post=305906\" target=\"_blank\">place<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Democratic polling firm PPP has released the results of a new survey  showing pro-abortion President Barack Obama fares worse in terms of his  approval rating in key presidential states than he did in 2008, when he  was elected.<\/p>\n<p>Obama&#8217;s approval rating there is now under water in Delaware at 46% happy with the job he&#8217;s doing and 48% disapproving.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That&#8217;s a pretty amazing drop in a state where he won 62% of the vote,&#8221; the polling firm said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s just the most dramatic example of something plaguing Democratic  candidates in all of this year&#8217;s most competitive Senate races though,&#8221;  PPP&#8217;s Tom Jensen said. &#8220;There&#8217;s not much doubt that Barack Obama is the  biggest reason why most of these blue state Senate races are looking so  competitive and getting 15-20% of the vote from people who disapprove  of Obama is going to be critical to the victory chances of many of these  Democratic candidates.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The argument from establishment Republicans in Delaware and Washington against Christine O&#8217;Donnell has been that she isn&#8217;t electable&#8230; and I&#8217;ll admit I still think she&#8217;s a long shot, but in an environment like with a large enthusiasm gap and the President whose approval ratings are underwater like this &#8212; even if it is by a narrow margin, Ms. O&#8217;Donnell looks like less of long shot than she did even a few days ago.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway on a related note Rasmussen has few interesting polls out today&#8230; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rasmussenreports.com\/public_content\/politics\/general_state_surveys\/illinois\/56_in_illinois_favor_repeal_of_health_care_law\" target=\"_blank\">56% of likely voters in President Obama&#8217;s home state of Illinois favor repeal of Obamacare<\/a> as do<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rasmussenreports.com\/public_content\/politics\/current_events\/healthcare\/health_care_law\" target=\"_blank\"> 61% of likely voters nation wide<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rasmussenreports.com\/public_content\/politics\/general_politics\/september_2010\/52_of_voters_say_their_views_are_more_like_palin_s_than_obama_s\" target=\"_blank\">52% of likely voters say their own views are closer to Sarah Palin\u2019s than they are to President Obama\u2019s<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hmm&#8230; I just saw this over at Ace&#8217;s place: The Democratic polling firm PPP has released the results of a new survey showing pro-abortion President Barack Obama fares worse in terms of his approval rating in key presidential states than he did in 2008, when he was elected.
