Lieberman expressed <a href=\"http:\/\/briefingroom.thehill.com\/2009\/06\/13\/lieberman-wont-back-public-option-on-healthcare\/\" target=\"_blank\">opposition<\/a> to the public option in Pres. Obama&#8217;s health care reform plan:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) said this weekend that he opposes a public option plan for consumers in a healthcare reform plan to emerge from the Senate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t favor a public option,\u201d Lieberman told Bloomberg News in an interview broadcast this weekend.
