Lets not mince words here: Oliver Stone is and anti-Semitic crackpot… There’s simply no other way to explain this:
Director Oliver Stone belittled the Holocaust during a shocking interview with the Sunday Times today, claiming that America’s focus on the Jewish massacre was a product of the “Jewish domination of the media.”The director also defended Hitler and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and railed against the “powerful lobby” of Jews in America.
Stone said that his upcoming Showtime documentary series “Secret History of America,” seeks to put Hitler and Communist dictator Joseph Stalin “in context.”

Stone said that, “Hitler did far more damage to the Russians than the Jewish people, 25 or 30 [million killed].”
The Sunday Times interviewer then asked why there was such a focus on the Holocaust.
“The Jewish domination of the media,” responded Stone. “There’s a major lobby in the United States. They are hard workers. They stay on top of every comment, the most powerful lobby in Washington. Israel has f***** up United States foreign policy for years.”
Mr. Stone epitomizes everything wrong with modern ‘thinking’ on the left. There is no taking Hilter out of context, his carefully orchestrated Holocausts led to the deaths somewhere between 11 million and 17 million Jews, ethnic Poles, Gypsies, Soviet civilians and prisoners of war, homosexuals, Jehovah’s Witnesses, people with disabilities, and numerous other political and religious opponents. The simple truth is that what Nazis did to the Jews is so barbaric, so evil that it is indelibly burned into the human psyche… But that’s not something that would ever occur to a crackpot like Mr. Stone, no, he seeks to put two of history’s greatest mass murders into “context”
There’s no taking the Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin out of context, their actions led directly to the deaths of millions of innocent people… only a crackpot like Mr. Stone could think otherwise.
Update (Wednesday, July 28, 2010): Oliver Stone has apparently apologized for anti-Semitic remarks made during an interview with the Sunday Times… From the Daily Mail:
Director Oliver Stone has been forced to make a grovelling apology over an anti-Semitic outburst.
The double Academy Award winner claimed that the Russians suffered more during the Second World War and that there was a Jewish ‘domination of the media’.
Stone also said that Jews had ‘****ed up’ U.S. foreign policy for years and suggested the British supported Hitler.
The comments brought swift condemnation from Jewish bodies in the U.S. and Israel and forced the 63-year-old to make a contrite apology.
He said: ‘In trying to make a broader historical point about the range of atrocities the Germans committed against many people, I made a clumsy association about the Holocaust, for which I am sorry and I regret.
‘Jews obviously do not control media or any other industry,’ he said, adding that the Holocaust was an ‘atrocity’.
Anyone else think Mr. Stone’s apology rings hollow?
