Political & Cultural Commentary from a Constitutional Conservative

About

My PhotoHi, thanks for stopping by… My name is Jeff Setaro, I’m a forty something information technology professional and sometimes photographer living in Connecticut and this is my personal blog.

This site started primarily as a test bed for technologies I’ve used in other projects. I honestly never intended to write about politics, but like a great many Americans I’ve become frustrated by or maybe disillusioned with actions of our elected leaders over the last decade.

This site has become my way of expressing my frustrations with the political class — to paraphrase Ronald Reagan our elected leaders have taken too much tax money from the people, too much authority from the states, and too much liberty with the Constitution.

Politically I’d call myself a Constitutional Conservative, I believe in limited government, fiscal responsibility, individual liberty, responsibility and accountability, vibrant free markets and a strong national defense — if that makes me an extremist so be it… I’ll wear that badge proudly.

Anyway, feel free to look around and don’t forget to visit the photo gallery.

A note on comments

Everyone is welcome to share their views all I ask is that you observe a few basic rules the when posting:

  1. Be respectful – Name-calling, personal insults and “flaming” won’t be tolerated.
  2. Keep it clean – Comments that in my opinion are, (a) off-topic; (b) libelous, defamatory, abusive, harassing, threatening, profane, pornographic, offensive, false, misleading, racist, bigoted, anti-Semitic, homophobic, sexist or which otherwise violates or encourages others to violate any law, including intellectual property laws will be deleted.
  3. Don’t Spam. If you do your comments will be deleted.

One last thing about comments. Please don’t assume that I agree with or endorse any particular comment just because I let it stand. I believe in a civil discussion of the issues even though I may not agree with opinions expressed. As long as a commenter observes the rules I’ll let his or her comments stand.

Cheers;

Jeff
