Lest We Forget: USS Cole
It was 8 years ago today that USS Cole (DDG-67) was attacked by terrorists in Aden, Yemen. 17 sailors lost their lives in the bombing.
Eternal Father, Strong to save,
Whose arm hath bound the restless wave,
Who bid’st the mighty Ocean deep
Its own appointed limits keep;
O hear us when we cry to thee,
for those in peril on the sea.
